Whatever status you currently have right now,you should continue to renew it until your H&C is finalized just so you don’t run out of status.Once you’re out of status, and your file gets shipped to CBSA, it gets complicated.And it’s literally the worst.You definitely don’t want that!

How CBSA is involved in H&C applications? sorry might’ve be a stupid question
H&C is not determined by CBSA.IRCC is.CBSA is just this separate government entity that removes people from the country.So basically,CBSA comes in when all your applications fails, your file just gets sent to 6900 Mississauga.

Thanks I've been out of status since 2018 when I applied for PR under h & c cbsa came to my house and got me arrested and i was detained but the judge released me after 5days based on the best interest of my children cos i was the primary caregiver for my wife and kids.

It's a long story buddy but I cannot share sensitive issues in public space.This forum was created by someone who sees all messages be it private or otherwise as long as it's done on this platform.
The best I can share is what I've done.
One thing about h & c is that every case is unique and nobody on this platform can decide your case other than the officer handling your files at every stage.So negative comments from people should not be a yardstick to determine your success in this journey.
