It depends on the officer H &C now takes 19 months, and I will advice you not to go on social welfare when your application is in process.

It is not in process yet. Just applied today. Just wondering if i can go for 2-3 months on welfare if that will not create any problem ?

Yes I know but you wouldn't want anything that will affect your 2nd application. Anyways you can use your discretion.

I lost my job last month . I do take ei while taking some courses will that affect my application.

EI is not social welfare. It is considered as Income.

Not true, my second application took a year. First one took 6 months
