@Katayoon , hi. I remember your reply to my post in June,21 about process of Stage 1 and 2. Automated message says ; we r processing your background check, need no medical n biometrics n interview etc. Is it on the right course as it is 11th month
Yes 11 month is still within normal processing times but bear in mind that automatic status line is not always up to date. GCMS notes is the only reliable status tool. It only costs 5$ and will give you peace of mind.
Yes but you don’t need worry. It’s normal processing for it. As long as you see that it is received it’s ok. My first application it took 3months to get it
you can check status without receipt on online without acknowledgment you need your uci no and d.o.b ..
AOR some time receiving more than 3 month… don’t worry, everything is normal
Please I need someone to update me Application received March 1st 2021
AOR March 30th 2021
In process April 20th 2021
AIP August 12th 2021
Medical August 2021
ARC September 2021
So I want to if they update the Ecas for background check or criminality because I have not hard anything since September

Thank you @Katayoon , u replied. It gives great satisfaction to move forward. Is background check is the last step as message says; we do not need your medical, interview, biomatric etc.. ?

Background check starts soon after they start your processing and finishes the day you get final decision made (Stage 2). It is a very long process involving multiple agencies both in Canada and abroad. They send enquiries to partner agencies early in the process and then while waiting for response they work on other parts of your file. The biggest portion of background checks will be done at Stage 2 after AIP when you will get requests for updated police certificates and background forms. Our automatic status was "we are verifying your background" the day our processing started, but you cannot know for sure until you order GCMS notes and check the line "Background checks" on Page 2.

I have a question, so....if I changed to "process" on March that means I have to wait 15 months more till the end of stage 2? I got aor on October 2020, but just last month my status changed on Ecas
