i went to the usa to a b1-b2 visa on 2004 and over stayed my visa till 2007 when i had a car accendent and got arrested by the ins then i was granted a voluntary departure
my question is will that affect my application if i apply for immigration to canada ! except for the violation of immigration law i dont have like any felony or anything and my criminal record is all clean
please answer my q asap

r u sure guys that i have to attach the clearance thing with my papers !!! i was granted a voluntary departure and they dont grant u that unless ur fbi background check is clear
besides in my removal order it says i already returned back home before that date i was supposed to
one more thing guys .. i changed my name ( changed couple of letters in my name ) and i changed my passport number .. they can't get any records from the us government ! even my birth certificate is written in arabic and it will have to be translated and i can put the same name of my passport in the birth certificate
It seems you are dead set doing it the wrong way so why are you asking for help here! Just go ahead and do it the way you wish to...But be advised you live with the consequences of any decision you make in life! goodluck
ok that still didnt answer my question !!!! do i really have to get the fbi clearance ???? how would i get that since am panned from entering usa ???
please let me know
