Dear Friends

I am working for a US company in AbuDhabi and my nationality is Indian.There was an internal opening in Toronto in my company and I have been selected.

My company has appointed a lawyer in Toronto for the work permit.Our US HR informed me that they will apply from NewYork Canadian embassy for the work permit because Abu Dhabi waiting time is 7 months. I haven't heard anything for sometime now so I am little worried.I heard that the lawyers have asked for my CV and they are doing some work.

Confused on the work permit process. Do I need to be in person in NY ? How difficult is it to get a WP considering my company is doing it and they need to fill the position(Engineering Manager).

Appreciate if anyone can throw some light.
