Do you guys think the delays are due to my government job history
like security screening taking a long time.

I don't have much travel history.

I called CIC a few days back and they told me that they are doing my background check and my file is in Canada.

ur case is not so much delayed. there are people who has files in ndvo and over 6 months. ndvo is slow. so i think chill for sometime till u see a change in ur status in january. my aor is sept 15. patience is the key.

the best way to know if u r in security screening is by ordering gcms notes

Have you ordered GCMS notes? You can find out if you are in security screening. May or may not be in SS.

Hi Vinay,I have read ur thread msgs and now what I got is that government employee doesnot need NOC at any stage of getting PR. I am the principal applicant and my husband is dependent. My husband is in government job and I hv mentioned employee in his personal history. So will that be ok actually I was worried about the NOC issue.
But Now I am relaxed bcz u got ur PR being in government sector.
