Got my visa in April and will be attending Bow valley college, my class starts on 31st August.
From what i have read they have an excellent international student assistance. Best choice

I am from Jamaica and will share my profile. I start in January. I applied early because our Visa Time takes 8 weeks but luckily I got back mine in three weeks.

Oh thats is nice, im from Ghana but naturalized Mexican. Then i will be ahead of you with just a semester,as im starting mine
later this month.
Do you plan to reside in Canada after studies? I last vsisted Canada last year and trust me it got a lot of Jamaicans in Calgary.

1. July 10 ----- Apply for Study Permit at KVO. I am from Jamaica.
2. July 11 -------Got tracking number from VAC
3. July 15 -------status changed to under consideration
4. July 30 --------Got email that study permit was approved. I also got email to take to border.
5. December ----- Landing Pending
