I got accepted to study a diploma at a college in Canada in September 2011. The college has no January 2012 entry date. I applied for my study permit in July 2011 and I just received my Letter of Introduction (valid until mid 2013) last week. The embassy must have known that I missed my September 2011 entry date, but they approved my application without asking for a deferral letter from the college. I have now been accepted by another college to study a different diploma subject in January 2012.
I know you can change colleges once you're in Canada, but I am not in Canada yet. Am I allowed to go to Canada with my Letter of Introduction with a different college acceptance letter and subject to the one I cited when I applied for my study permit? I would be most grateful for any advise. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
No i don't think they will allow you to enter Canada unless you have a confirmed acceptance from your college or another college in this case. Apply for admissions and once you get them call CIC and inform them about it. They will make changes in their system and then you are good to go hope this helped
