Krofnica,

Happy Birthday! My application is in Vienna too and my husband attended the mandatory military as a common soldier. Don't VO know that in Europe it's mandatory for all men? Maybe because of the your husband's commanding officer & various travels. anyway, How did you know about all the updates on your file? from your MP whom you're in contact with or from response of your inquiry to Vienna VO? How did they ask for another medical request? by letter, email, phone? Thanks.

For the 1st interview they called my husband on his cell. We found out about the security interview via email. After the interview we were waiting from a response from CBSA here in Canada (the reason I knew this is bcs when I emailed the VO this is what she told me). So I actually emailed CBSA directly and they told me that they had submitted their recommendations to Vienna on June 3rd. So I emailed the Embassy on the 8th asking for a case update. I rec'd an email from Vienna on the 9th letting me know that a new medical has been requested and that they sent all the information with the request to us in the mail on the 7th.
So basically they use all channels of communications...phone, mail, and email.
I did however email the Embassy on a regular basis, like every month. I think they were annoyed by me but I didn't care. This is our life so they can be annoyed as much as they want to.
As for the military...yes they do know about the mandatory army, but my husband's case was prolonged bcs he did his army during the war and also the commanding officer thing. I actually don't know of anyone who waited this long from Vienna.
How long have you been waiting?

Why were you denied the 1st time?

congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah party time!!!!! I hope you and your spouse have an amazing life together in Canada
