Hello I have purchased GIC and will be arriving in Toronto on 1st Jan. I know taht i need to go to Scotiabank to start my GIC installments. I have few doubts regarding hoe much do I get monthly? I checked it online but I still failed to understand. I read it on http://www.scotiabank.com/ca/en/0,,5698,00.html.

I want to know exact installment I will get, so that I can decide on how much canadian dollar will I need to take thr?

bro you shall get an amount of 660 canadian dollar per month....

and you take a sum of $700 with you when u will be flying form india....

sensible thing to do is that not touch your GIC account and use that sum later for next year fees.

but then what of 2000$. I got the point that I will be getting 660$ monthly (8000$/12months), but what of remaining 2000$ left? when will i get it? or wht use is it to me?

you get these $2000 instantly when you reached in canada at any branch of Scotia bank....
