Applied yesterday for september intake under SDS , going to university of calgary for bachelors

Oh thats great iam going to Dalhousie university for masters but iam a little worried as i did not apply for my study permit because of this gic issue and what if it may take more time for the process

Don't worry , if you apply under sds , you will get visa on time.. if u have 6 in each module in IELTS and paid 1 year fee , then go with SDS.

Thank you for the help and please let me know when you get your study permit . I have paid one year tuition fee to the university but Did not recieve any confirmation from them yet how many days did it take for you to recieve it​

It took 5-6 business days for me to get the receipt , you will get it meanwhile your gic reaches you... and sure I will let you know

GIC from scotiabank , ICICI and SBI bank Canada , are all three accepted , you can choose any of them

Then get it updated in your Scotiabank account , once they say it is updated , revert the same payment again.. i repeat.. do not send another 10200 CAD , ask your bank to revert the same payment . It will also take less time and save you about 30000 rupees.

That's what i am saying , revert the wire payment by contacting your indian bank , don't wait for the money to be refunded , it will take a lot of time and you will also loose a big amount of money..
I did not wait for refund , i got my address updated and reverted the same payment .

Yes ofcourse you can.. just talk to bank officials.. they will do it , but you will be charged about $50 , ask them to deduct this money from your bank account , not from the gic amount , strictly tell them that scotiabank must receive complete funds.

But the bank must get the information that the funds are rejected right then only i can revert the payment isnt it

No , just tell that you talked with scotiabank and the payment is rejected , moreover , if your bank has any doubt , they can track the wire payment to know where it is rightnow , and then in a day or two , you will be charged approx 50$ for scotiabank charges , and after 6-7 days you will get your gic.
