Hi,
I am filling out the GIC application form. in the form it asks for the bank information. now i will be transferring the funds from my dad's account so i guesss i shud put his name in it. is it?
and secondly it also asks for Swift code and IFS code? wat to be filled there. kindly reply
Do u got your GIC account number and if yes than u have to transfer funds for GIC from your own bank account within India.
You have to write account holders name...i.e. Your dad's name
for 2nd one you can use either of 2 codes( swift or ifsc) both are valid...
As far as i know both the ques are related to gic refunding. ..Is it??
Becoz in account opening ..they give you the account no. In soctiabank ...
no i M FILLINg the form for the first time to apply and in that it is asking..
Hope you have correct form....check the form. ..Is the top most line GIC refund form???? Then please correct the form
Else for filling account opening gic form you just give your basic details , passport no., admitted college etc on form than send essential documents as one pdf ...after about 10 days they will send secure mail and password giving details about you account to which you will send money...
Hope you are on right track...

You can enter any of them (IFSC or Swift Code). You can find
IFSC of banks here.
