Hi, did anyone has experience with getting passport back from US Embassy before they finish processing visa application? I have an urgent travel scheduled on 12th October and my passport is with Vancouver consulate since 11th September and visa status is in application received status since September 18th. I have emailed canada.visas@gdit-gss.com to get my passport back. Did anyone experienced getting the passport back, how quickly they returned the passport. I have applied for H1b dropbox renewal stamping.
