I am a new Canadian PR holder currently in US and looking to get first time H1B stamping done. I had submitted my DS160 before doing the soft landing i.e. before I was officially a PR holder so I have an in person interview scheduled for Oct 2022.

  • Do I have to resubmit a new DS160 or can I email/call the consulate and ask them to update my status as a Canadian PR?
  • If I am eligible for dropbox can I mail my documents to the consulate from the US or do I have to travel to Canada to do that? I can provide a friend's address in Canada to receive the passport back.
