i think they have sent people for security from aug 2023 to april 2024 in bulk. i heard that they are clearing it up now. hope for the best

I hope so!
This is frustrating and hopeless and I'm loosing my mind.
I request my CSIS notes 55 days ago (no response), they are doing nothing!
It's just F***ING laziness.

Mine is November 2024 though.

is it also stated in gcms notes if I’m in csis

Current status is "in progress". Any idea what does it mean in terms of the progress? I mean how long is it going to take in this status? Thanks

reading this thread, so if the status is “received by cbsa” then it still hasn’t started technically?

also waiting on csis notes since end of november. they’re saying the number of similar requests (asking for security screening) has increased and that’s why they’re taking longer

also. is it true that if you apply under family class inside canada, we can’t file for either mandamus (because we can keep getting OWPs forever so there’s a way to stay in canada) and H&C doesn’t work because you can be sponsored by a family?

I’m still under normal processing time for my application (supposed to be 12 months) but I’m getting close to it (11.5 months since submission) and I’m trying to see if I should bother to save up for a lawyer if the application is still stuck in security check after a year

Do you have a Due date on your GCMS notes? Mine says Mid July but not sure if that is reliable

honestly it doesn’t look like due dates mean anything. mine for CBSA was 29th of November last year. and the status is still received.

I don’t know if there any ways to file a complaint with this horrible system. I get the need to ensure safety but surely it can be done much faster. feels like they’re stalling applications on purpose honestly…

I submitted march last year too. most of march applicants for my stream are also PR by now.

Yes, mine shows "in progress" under security. This section was blank previously.
My application is for citizenship. I am wondering how long is going to take in this status.
