Quick update to give others here hope, my LPP got completed and updated on the tracker today. Seems RC-8090 doesn’t necessarily mean a long wait. Timeline from application submission to LPP is 5 months (Dec 2023 application). Anyone assigned or reassigned to Calgary Office?

I think the key thing is you applied relatively recently...anyone who applied more than 9 months ago and ended up with Sydney, it's BAD news.

A lot of people get assigned to CPC-Sydney during the course at some point of time, Real RC8090 victims are those who have a total radio silence for months and months .. if you had a test within a couple of months and now LPP is also complete, you probably had better luck, you are not one of us.

E-Grant Review Ready PM01 means straight forward application and will be processed soon!

I was at that stage for the longest of time from March 2023 to February 2024 - hope your application moves forward quickly.

Thanks for this context/ hope. Can I check how did you verify when was the application assigned to RC-8090 ? … I checked in the notes where Application assignment shows no date to me.

I don't know/not aware of any other way. Someone else on this forum may be of help if they know.

Hi All, I filed my application online on March 3 2023 and received AOR on 22 March 2023. Last update was on June 30 2023 where it states backgrounds is completed. Primary office is CPC Sydney, secondary office is Niagara falls. Requested ATIP and saw that my case was assigned to RC-8090. It's been a year now and haven't received test invite or none have touched the application after June 2023 and status shows e-Grants inventory. Reached out to agent and they informed that I should wait till 14 months processing and didn't inform about any non routine application. I haven't reached out to MP yet as I see that the responses are same as ATIP.

Apart from waiting are there any other options. I received a job offer in US and need Canadian passport to apply TN visa. Can I state this as an emergency?

I truly believe it is a random word. IRCC officers use it randomly. Though, that's just my theory.

Spoke to agent, they said that they will send a note to processing office. Haven't heard or seen any progress on the application till date.

Oh I once said IRCC just use it as arbitrary as they want, and someone came at me with pitchforks saying it's not...like how is it not when half the time when IRCC can't even tell you why is it non-routine.

Submitted application on Nov 16, 2023. Fingerprints completed, Police check completed, and Test completed by Jan 23, 2024. Since then no updates at all for almost 4 months now. Got GCMS notes and said I was assigned RC-8090 as well. Looks like I have a long wait as well like most people here
