Just checking in with my new group. I got GCMS notes yesterday confirming my suspicion that my application was in Sydney. Primary is Vancouver and up to LPP went very fast and then just nothing for a few months.

Don't lose hope regardless when they will finalize our applications. Its not meaningless, we don't know how the system work.

As IT Guy , my theory about this GU is as follows

1 - There are a lot of applicants was complaining that the test was not show completed for long time although they have passed the exam
2 - When they call the call center , they are telling them it shows completed
3 - When they order GCMS note , they found on it that i shows completed
4 - so i think IRCC knew that there is a technical issue for not showing the updates on tracker
5 - so it push something called overall refresh to every body , where if you have a change in your file it will be reflected
6 - if you do not have a change in your file nothing will happen to you

so at the end , it is just force refresh to all applicants to let the already done changes appears if it did not appear before

that is just a theory of mine

Thanks for the elaboration. I got the GU on Oct 27 and how about the GU on Sept 27 on my tracker? My LPP is still in progress.

GU on 27/9/2023 , means someone worked in your file and did change on it

what is that change ? nobody knows except god and IRCC

If you need to know then you should ask for GCMS notes or call the call enter or do both

Some ppl got the GU on Sept 27 as well but not that many...Test completed end of Feb and I got the 2nd GCMS notes last week, LPP still not started...

My timeline -
Submitted - September 5, 2022
AOR - October 26, 2022
Background - Jan 6, 2023
Test completed - March 7, 2023
October 27, 2023 - Ghost update
October 28, 2023 - LPP completed finally (tracker shows completed on October 26, 2023)!

Not sure if Oct 27 GU was just a GU or actual system update for me!

I knew this haha. But it was the same date Sept 27. I have never heard GCMS will trigger GU.

Hi guys, my husband's citizenship tracker was updated on October 28, 2023 for citizenship test (between Nov 3-Nov 23). It says he should get the invite email before 6 days of the test. He hasnt received any email yet though (checked spam too). Is it normal to receive the email invite less than 6 days from the test starting date?

Finally today I got the official notice to appear for an in-person oath on 10th Nov. Can finally close this chapter and hope to never deal with IRCC again haha.
