What is bothering me is that the application moved to "location: PPV" on the 2020/04/23 one day after the Note from the visa officer "and CRIM entered, SVP ppv." There is no update since then. 3.5 months for security does it mean that it's in comprehensive security screening?

Hi, it's possible it could be in enhanced security screening. Details about it are a bit opaque, we have some collected info from public sources at https://gcmsnotes.com/all-about-security-screening/ and https://cbsa-screening-manual.gcmsnotes.com/

You can have family in Canada request your CBSA/CSIS notes just the way it was done for the GCMS notes and it "may" giving you some more info.

Security is blank--s15(1)--but in ACTIVITY/APPLICATION section status passed from :

Old value : Blank to New value : Not started. Around 2019/12 (estimated by using date of Meds)
then
Old value : Not started to New value : Blank S15(1). Around 2020/04 (after Eligibility passed). Here, my guess is that Security started.


My questions :

1 - What does PPV Location mean? And why is my Application stuck there since 2020/04/23 (3.5 months)?

I found on the forum several possible explanations for PPV : Prêt pour visa, Point of paper visa, ready for PRV. None of those seem to explain why it's taking so long to pass to Final: Approved.

me too Paris VoI ordered gcms in july 2. last upate it was in April28. I ordered gcms again to see if there is any update. we will see. I don't think They are giving decison or ppr . no one get it. I am oct2019 applicant

no it shows office 1 paris office 2 centralized Inatake office ..... still processing Eligibility. paris they put note Recommend interivew Due date january 14.2021 but not confirmed yet

I order my first GCMS notes in June 2020, received them after 30 days:

In the Notes section there are two notes. one Review Type A11.2 Case processing Agent A11.2 met R87 Appers to meet. other one is from case assistant.
Can someone explain me at what stage i am and how much more wait i have to do.

The eligibility takes place in two stages. First an analyst or an assistant will review and make a recommendation. This can be recommended passed / Met / etc. This recommendation is then reviewed by an officer who makes a final determination. The terminology used such as met / recommended passed / passed an no relevance.

Instead see your assessment on page 2 of the GCMS notes and see the corresponding notes in the last 2-5 pages. For details see #3,199

Do you mean AOR date? I submitted my application in Nov 2019.
