Guyz does it effect your PR application if you request your GCMS notes like every month or 2 months?. I read somewhere an MP saying if you request notes to many times the visa office doesn't like it. Can anyone advise. :-[
Some on the other thread told me it shouldn't cause ATIF is another department. Do you know any case where they made an issue? requesting notes every month or so... :

ATIP is a different department in Ottawa (my guess is the OSC-Ottawa). They do note when you have requested the notes in your file, but it really shouldn't cause issue as you are currently entitled to documentation that the government generates about you.
Even ATIF is another department but I don't think they process the data own their own. They send the request to the CIC and CIC process the information and send the file back to ATIF or requester on behalf of ATIF directly.
I work for Govt., and know that how much privacy matter come into place when data is being shared. No Ministry/Department openly share there database with another govt. agency/department. Moreover due to internet security /hacking issue IT departments are very strict on allow access to their internal databases.
Since more and more people are requesting GCMS notes that is why there is backlog. Personally i think it put more work load on CIC.

Thanks yes, I applied for the notes, but more concerned with the frequency so I guess I'll keep them for every 3 months to be safe and don't piss the VO off... ;D ;D

My cadence would be about the same. Once I get a reasonable sense as to what has happened, I might order one more set in November so I can get an idea what to expect before New Years. I don't need to order them more frequently unless I uncover a problem.

Not relly, in fact I had a friend whose application was stuck for sometime and ironically his application was pushed forward when he requested his notes. His request forced an IO to open his file and to look into it even if he was not supposed to at that time.
I'm just saying each request will be recorded in the notes of your file.
Not necessarily , I have Not Started in GCMS notes and In Progress in MyCIC !! so which one do we believe ? keep in mind GCMS notes are at least 30 days behind ( outdated ) .
