Hello all...

I have completed almost 7 months since I applied for PR (the wait time on the website when I applied for it was 9) at the New Delhi post office...
My file went "in process" 3 weeks ago and I have not heard a word from them since...

So.. I was wondering if it is a good idea to apply for GCMS notes OR have my hubby contact the MP... or both...

I'm a bit scared of doing it but i realllllly want a move on my application!!

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Thanks :)

first try to email them and they will let you know what exactly is going on, like they may you are in an interview queue which may delay your case, also order the CAIPS notes, but this will take around 2 months and see exactly in detail what is going on. Mostly VO will say your file is under process and will not provide you with detailed info, so in that case the caips notes will provide you with that.

I would start out be sending an e-mail. See what they say, then go from there 8)

MPs cannot speed up the processing of applications. Since you are still within the posted timelines, there's no point in contacting your MP - there's nothing he/she can do for you. If the processing of your application takes longer than the posted time (i.e. you go over by a few months), that's likely a good time to contact your MP.

Oh myy!! Well, Good luck!!

WRT the GCMS, what I am basically worried about is it causing a further delay in my application...
Nevertheless, how did you apply for it?

Thank you... :) I hope to be wiz my hubby soon too... :)
