I am in Canada at the moment and one hospital was really keen on giving me a job (I'm here till end of Feb). The director of the hospital
asked for my permission to allow the MP of Alberta to chase my immigration application process.
Now the MP called me on Monday and told me that they have received my file (which I knew, 2nd AOR on 10th Aug) She said that London, UK is very busy and that my application is scheduled to be complete / issued no later than July 2011. So with the process time of 13 months that would be about right as I sent the application in June 2010.
So I think it will take minimum of 5-6 months to have my status changed to 'in process' following my 2nd AOR.
You never know though it may be quicker than that. Let's hope!
Things are happening, just slowly. Hope this helps some people.
Thanks, for sharing this valuable information. you mean that your PR processing will continoue in london eventhough you are in canada. is that right?.
I do remember the time when you left to canada. it is good that things are well going for you.
Do you tell me the way you went to canada before your PR completed? what kind of vise did you get?

What happened was that I applied for the Federal Skilled Worker Class from the UK. As you well know this process takes time. I got my 2nd AOR 10th August. I did not declare to London, UK that I was in the Canada as I thought this would delay things. I did enquire about communication and they informed me that it would be via e-mail, so I had no concerns as I have access to my e-mail.
I'm in Canada for six months on a visitor visa, arrived in Sept and return to the UK at the end of Feb. So my application is still in process in London, UK.
I'm enjoying Canada very much. I am in a very remote part. The weather is very very cold but you kind of get used to it.
I got this informatuion from my Consultant,
But I ask some people having the same visa office they told me minimum 150 days! like you should expect your medical minimum 5 months and could go uptill 8 months!!!!
Now 4.5 months are already gone and I am near to the minimum time required!!!!! according to this I am expecting some new updates around 18th January! which is Tuesday as everyone knows they update on tuesday and 18th is also my 5 months tenure!!!!!!!!!!!

I noticed on a previous thread that you wrote we should get our medical request 90-120 days following 2nd AOR.
Where did you get this information?
My ecas is RBVO since July and its written in there ,2nd AOR, that I have to wait for 8 mos. I hope it will not take 8 mos to get to IN PROCESS and MR too. My VO is London.
