^ Most of this still holds up. A change in scenery would also be nice (been in Texas 15+ years) + the ability to save in C$ and invest in the TSX. Canada and Russia are also less likely to face a scarcity in fresh water in the coming decades.

Yep, you can enroll in a part time program without changing your visa status. Pros and cons, though.

Canada is great for those who have built wealth and have families, so called owner/investor class. For poor single young fellas like me, it sucks
