Since things are moving for you now, I think entering Canada on your TRV is not a bad idea. When you send the ADRs, also including a letter that you are in Canada or will be in Canada on a given date.
You can look into filling a change of status form (i539) to B2 if that's an option. Costs about $500. As long as you file it before April 9th, you say stay legally longer.
