There should be one thing for Canadian to learn: there's no covid anymore. Covid was simply a failed election strategy, and they shouldn't be living in fears and lockdowns.
You certainly can be on H1B and you can have decades of experience in body-shopping, no question to that. But thats not what my comment was about. It was about failure to comprehend that the current biggest user group of the visa does not define the visa or name itself. Anyways, calm your nuts and mind too. H1B is Indian Tech visa. If it hurts, apply burnol and take a chill pill. If you are so worried about India’s name getting damaged, stay in India. Nobody will miss you.
A lot of us are scared not because of ourselves. We are scared of passing it to kids. Got a pre-kindergartener (we call them pre-k or pricks lol) who cann't be vaccinated right now. He goes to a daycare with other "pricks". That scares me a lot. Anyone makes a mistake and all of them get covid. Some of them may end up in hosptial. Some with lasting harm.

Lastly, though I do not worry about India's image as much, I do care about unreasonable stereotyping. If you are going to stay outside India, may be you should as well. You wont be able to wash or wish away your origin or its stereotype. Its right on your face. Always. BTW, as you must have seen in US by now, not too many people know that you are a TN Indian or cowbelt Indian. For most of them, you are an Indian and you are that stereotype.
