My understanding based on everything I've seen is that there is a brief second eligibility review done at the visa office. Stupid, I know - but I think this is that they double-check to make sure CIO have not made any mistakes.

If you check the current ECAS status list, even for post-June-26 applicants it does say there is a status "Visa office eligibility review complete". But since an application would go straight to "In Process" I think this is only used if an applicant fails the 2nd eligibility review.

CIO's job is to eliminate the largest percent of applicants who are not eligible. I guess visa office's job is to fine-tune what's left.

So, I think if your application says "In process" but you have the "decision made" line on the detail - then IMO you have not failed the visa office eligibility review. More likely that there is either an error, or your case is rejected based on something in the background checks (educational and employment verification etc).

Alas until you hear from visa office all we can do is "best guess" at this stage.

Guys! The long wait is finally over and done with. Today after exactly 2 weeks of receiving my 2nd AOR, I got a letter from snail mail from the designated immigration officer, Mr. J. Tan-Go. The letter basically had something to do with his JD (job description) and yes he is not satisfied thus application was refused.


It isnt a glitch from the ecas, as I hope it would be.

Do you have any idea how long it takes for them to return our application and re-apply again?

Hi zakoy! sorry for that news, i guess prepare ka na lang ulit for re-application mahirap man tanggapin ung balita but you have to move on and start all over. And this time something good will happen in the end na. Goodluck

Just a few questions:

i)How long did it take for the bank draft to arrive after the NER?
ii)Was your application delayed (longer processing time) before they sent you the NER?

Just looking at every possible scenarios here. Hate to get eventually checkmated by the CIO come June.

Sorry to hear this zakoy. Just do all the available options sa pag aapply sa Canada, and still your included in our prayers...

plan namin namin sa toronto pero di p rin kmi sure kc may mga application kmi kung may magcall sa min n employer dun kmi mag-land. when? hope n makaalis kmi ng july.

guys i read again the op6 manual for fsw after june 26, 2010... try to read this site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf

chapter 13- may assessment pa talaga after approval ng cio. they may do interviews, site visits and telephone checks randomly. and they will reassess the points again. if this is the case, sana hindi na final positive eligibility review pinadala nila. dapat partial eligibility review lang d ba?

ano isusulat sa pre-dent eh wala naman diploma ibinigay ang school sa asawa ko. what happened here is that she had her pre-dent & proper in different school let say pre-dent in school A & proper-dent kung saan talaga siya nag graduate is in School B. So what shall I put in her pre-dent portion under column diploma or certificate issued? Her pre-dent school records appears in her TOR when she graduated already.
