Have you ordered GCMS notes to see the updates?

Everything on my file is passed since November 2020 and medicals were extended in February 2021, set to expire this coming October. I've ordered notes a while ago and I see no reason to do it multiple times, they weren't super helpful or informative in the first place.

They are probably issuing PPRs according to the individual progress of applications, and since yours has been passed since November 2020 you are perhaps not far off in the waitlist.

Your time of AOR is not the real factor for determining how long will your application take, rather the progress of your file's individual review process is. Personally, I have been 'Ready for Approval' since May 2020 but I'm still waiting (AOR Jan 2020).
The time of AOR is a good measure only for a generalized view of applications.

I too have been waiting for some sort of an update. Nothinh from IRCC.

Here is the recent summary
1. My application was submitted in June 2020. So it is now essentially over a year.
2. In June 2021 this year, I got an update to fill in the basic information form and send some documents again, which i did in a 2 weeks.
3. No update after this and no news.

In a limbo still.

Yes, that's the valid point, as long as they don't process applications within the advertised 6-month timeline, AOR stops being a major factor. I used to think that the country of residence is and there has been some anecdotal evidence that US-based applications are being processed/finalized faster, but it didn't work for me.
P.S.
I am extremely pessimistic about Canada. I had to re-plan and re-think my life multiple times to this point, because the IRCC promise is just NOT coming true. Thankfully I am still in the US and sometimes I think I'm closer to a green card than to a PR, although the process hasn't even started for me yet.

P.P.S. What is your country of citizenship, if I might ask? I tend to think some citizenships are simply blacklisted by IRCC.

I don't think they can do that. I've ordered GCMS notes multiple times and my notes say Application approved and has a COPR number as well, but COPR status is still Not Started.

My citizenship and country of residence are both Pakistan. I'm quite certain no country has been blacklisted by IRCC. Some applicants face extra delays due to specific factors of their application (regardless of citizenship / residence). Unfortunately, this is a very bureaucratic process and there is a lot of paperwork involved on IRCC's end, which leads to all sorts of inefficiencies.

FSW applicants from the US are definitely getting their approvals sooner (on average) than the rest of the world since they are just across the border. That has been the case throughout the pandemic.

I would suggest not being so pessimistic, we are living in extraordinary times and COVID has been awful for almost everyone's plans. Things are looking to improve for us before the end of this year (if all goes well).
