I received an ITA for express entry and require to submit Police Clearance Certificate.
The CIC website states the below:
'You may need a police certificate from any country or territory that you have spent six months or more since the age of 18.'
Since the age of 18, I have lived in UAE (my current country of residence) and have visited India (my country of origin) no more than 2 weeks at a given time.
Even if I add all the days I spent in India since I turned 18, it doesn't sum up to 6 months.
I know I definitely need the Police Clearance Certificate from UAE but do I also need the certificate from India since my country of origin is India?
Its better to get an India PCC to be on the safe side. Get it from BLS in UAE. Get a Dubai PCC first and using that, within a week you can get the Indian one using BLS which represents the Indian Embassy in UAE.
CONGRATULATIONS @johnsyk! Every now and then I followed some of your threads and they have been of great help! I have been on NA since 14 June, but your news certainly gives me hope.
I've read it multiple times somewhere here, NDVO calls applicants randomly to confirm and verify certain details on their file.... I wonder if anyone here have come across any similar incident.
I've been in Canada since last 2 and a half months on TRV, and have changed my number since here, I have added my Canadian number onto the file but have not deleted my old Indian number from the file yet.... I think, I should do that.
Any advice on this is hugely appreciated...Thanks.
For those who landed in Toronto, kindly advise if the free health care policy in Ontario, in particular Ottawa, is activated for us once we enter Canada or do we need to buy medical insurance for first few months...? TIA
