You can get what you need from a coleague but you need to verity the letter with the public notary!

You can get a reference letter from your colleague or any other senior in your company, and on it mention your duties. But try to get from your Employer/HR/ direct supervisor if possible, its best.

5-10 days on average, in rare cases it takes longer, and some cases are pretty fast i.e only for 2-3 days.
