Security won't start until eligibility has been passed by an officer. I think most of the FSW applications at Ottawa have not been touched by any officer. Do you know what your visa office is?

App is at Ottawa VO. My eligibility and criminality were passed in like September 2020. File hasn't been touched since then.

IRCC states that "Due to the impacts of COVID-19, we’re experiencing processing delays. We’re prioritizing applications from people who are exempt from travel restrictions. "

US residents are exempted from travel restrictions but I don't think they are processing any US applications faster at Ottawa.

Looks like everyone has eligibility passed and files are not moving. Seems like nothing we can do but wait.

What I think we are waiting on is for an officer to review the files to initiate security.
Mine has been vetted by a program assistant and a case agent. I believe the officer's touch is needed.

An FSW outland resident with September AOR got their PPR yesterday via London (UK, not Ontario) VO. So that's another VO which is now processing FSW applications quickly besides Accra. Hopefully Ottawa and friends will start doing so soon as well.

In many cases, security goes from 'not started' to 'passed' in a matter of days. So I wouldnt worry too much about security and criminality not being initiated yet. Eligibility is the critical stage and if that's passed it's largely a waiting game (unless the candidate really has a security issue).

My eligibility was passed in early November, but nothing further has happened yet.

Interesting! They are processing FSW outland! Is this because they dont have as many applications in London UK as they have here in VO Ottawa?
