Don't worry.. Mine was received on Oct 06, the ss dates for charging my application are Dec 10 and Jan 05. You can check the ss and you can also check with your bank for any denied transaction, if there aren't any, don't worry.
there are many discussions about the cic cap updates and their estimated date.
Lets see what was written in the CIC cap:
First: Number of applications counted towards the 1,000 sub-cap column .
with footer which say this is: The number of complete federal skilled worker applications received since May 4, 2014 is an estimate.
from IMM 7000 guide:
Phase: Completeness check:
Citizenship and Immigration Canada reviews your application to make sure that:
all required fields in your application forms are complete,
all required documents are submitted from Document Checklist (IMM 5612), and
the correct processing fee payment has been made
If your application is:
incomplete or;
the allowable cap limit has been reached,
your entire package (including your payment) will be returned to you with a letter explaining why it is being returned.
so this means that this column is for applications already charged.
the other pending applications column as in the Help center:
What is a complete application package?
Your application package is complete when you have:
answered all of the questions on the application form, and
submitted all the necessary documents along with your application.
So this column is for the applications that not charged yet.
in the PHD application this is a hent:
Applications received toward the overall cap: 227 of 500 (as of November 19, 2014).
so this may means that the pending application are the applications received before that date.
If you are sure that your file will reach before 31 Dec and you have matching duties on your Experiance letter I will suggest go for 2241, you are 100% in that NOC...
From 1st Jan its a different game, here you have a chance grab it with both the hands....
Good Luck with your application...
Thank you for the reply bhabhai! My job description does match 2241, also I'm am in Canada hence can ensure that the application reached before 31/12.
However, my role was that of a supervisor on all my jobs. Dunno if it would be acceptable for NIC 2241.
