I didnt get you....."CIO after PER sends apps to particular VOs, but later CIO make assessment - selection criteria." can you clarify this a bit more....my understanding was that once files are transferred to local VOs, they assess them and further send the MRs & then Visas.....what do you mean by "Later CIO Make assessment"? The CIO i guess assess an application only before sending them to Local VOs rite , after which it is solely the responsiblity of local VOs to handle the application ???

After PER and creation of GCMS notes CIO sends all files to VOs. After that, CIO assesses SELECTION CRITERIA. VOs only make practical job:as sending MRs, passport work etc. VOs only check authenticity of docs and probably randomly or for selected candidates.
VOs will do security and criminal check.
This what I believe is that VOs wait in queue in CIO for assessments of their apps. Thats why CPP-O had a break, because CIO worked on NDVO apps. In time when NDVO send MRs, probably CIO is doing assessments for another VO. Probably it can be London and other less occupied VOs.

ECA report could be useful for job hunting but it doesn't guarantee the job. What I have learned from multiple sources that not having Canadian experience is the biggest hurdle to get job in Canada.

I'm the Primary Applicant for 2013-FSW. My spouse also has Masters but her subject was not included in the Eligible occupation list under this year. If we get the opportunities to go to Canada she wants to try for a job in her relevant field.

My Question, is it important to do the Credential Equivalency Assessment for her Masters Degree?

What do u mean by "Security and Criminal Check"....I understand Criminal check but what is a security check ? These both can be done via PCC I guess rite ?

You're right. It's the same here in the UK I guess. I have employed folks from abroad in some companies in the past, and they have always been those with a good CV (our Résumé format)

I've seen so many terrible CV's by people from abroad that I have to check myself to ensure I'm not being xenophobic when I see a CV that doesn't show somebody has been working here for a few years. If somebody asked why they didn't get an interview it would be easy to be more polite than honest, so we might tell them it was their lack of experience rather than "your CV was riddled with grammatical errors and I wouldn't think you would give the right impression to our customers when speaking/writing to them."

The most common sort of thing I see that puts me off is when people sprinkle "due respect" or similar in their covering letters, or using words like "obviously" without realising the condescension that can be implied.

I can see why Canadian Experience might be presented as a very big hurdle for us coming from abroad, but I think the best way to overcome it is to check Résumés with locals and pick up the local phrases and jargon (as Canadians often just call companies in the first instance to enquire about jobs).

again I insist..I have booked my flight from Doha to Montreal and than Edmonton..I have contacted Edmonton Airport/Montreal airport and got the information that all the landing formalities including Immigration will be done at Montreal (Even I am FSW). and wat i found on map I think Montreal is in Quebec..isnt it???

Yes, and the immigration officer will ask you "What is your final destination?" or "is Montreal your final destination". If you don't have the CSQ, you must signalize that you'll settle anywhere else.
