My Qualification is Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Civil Engineering.
My Job Title for 3 out of 4 jobs was 'Planning Engineer' while for 1 job it was 'Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil)'. My job descriptions are more or less same as given on HRSDC website for civil engineers while both mentioned job titles are not there among the example titles given for civil engineers (2131).
Can I use above mentioned job titles of 'Planning Engineer' and 'Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil)' or CIC will only accept given title on HRSDC?
I am Radha from Chennai,I saw that you have submitted DD for Candian PR FEE payment. I am totally confused on it. How we have to take 6 month DD from which bank?. I have checked few banks all are ready to give only 3 months DD. How you handled this?
Good to hear that you have landed and hoping you have settled down.
It would bee really nice of you if you can update on the scope for Civil Engineers there as you have first hand information. I know it is not very easy but just a general overlook and tips from you will help us all a lot here.
Looking forward to hearing from you in this regard.

Hello Vats,
I concur with what Rayj. Please in addition, which region would be the best for a civil engineer in terms of job opportunities? What about short courses and certifications? Your response will be highly appreciated.
Meanwhile even I have managed to cross the MR stage. Looking forward for PPR soon.
Have you managed to find a job immediately? What was the procedure you adopted to find a job. Any suggestions would be highly useful for all newcomers.
Thanks and hoping you are having a great time with the winter setting in.

Friends,
Job search in Canada is little trickey and depends upon your role and type of job in home country also on your will to set here.
if you have experience related to site, design (with canadian/american code), project management etc, ie easily simulated to work type here than you will get job very easily.
if you have network and contact here than also you will get job easily here.
if you have specific type of experience which is rare here than its tough
if you ready to change profile in the field only than too you can get job
there are many agencies here which help to get job
