Hello I have a question:

I am currently residing in canada, I fullfill the requirements for sponsorship. My question is what is the process or how is the process of sponsoring my husband from Afghanistan to Canada.

I am right now engaged to him and will get married in the summer.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET HIM OVER HERE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE?

Look at the forms and the questions they ask. Then try to get evidence for everything you do for your marriage and relationship. Keep copies of all communication with your husband: phone using a landline or some other method where the company can give you proof of what number you called; keep your Skype log; keep your emails; keep proof of any gifts. All of your arrangements for the wedding should be documented: the engagement party (if you have one), the arrangements for the wedding celebration and reception; the arrangements for your honeymoon.
You cannot send in your application to sponsor him until you marry him, but you can start gathering proof your relationship is genuine now.

Yes, canadianwomen gave good tips.

Basically, Afghanistan doesn't have a Canadian High Commission of its own. All sponsor applications therefore have to go through chc-Islamabad in Pakistan. Unfortuneatly, there is no real shortcuts. At the moment Islamabad is the slowest visa office in the world sitting at a snail pace of 32 months. Average cases are being approved in 2 years. Hope for the best, expect the worst.
