If the son isn’t part of the asylum claim he will not be part of the hearing. It will be up to the mother and a translator if required to explain why her life is in danger in her home country.
As I explained if mother can prove she is in danger going back to home country then there won't be any problems. Because her son's withdrawal is reasonable. It is not like someone who drops their case and decide to go back to their country.

If you read the posts the son was the true person at risk and they explained that in the asylum application. The mother’s risk was not the true focus of the asylum claim but they incorrectly assumed that they would be considered together. The mother seems to have accompanied the son because she was living with him and wants to continue living with him primarily for cultural reasons. She has 2 daughters in her home country that she can’t live with as stated. Assume they live with their in-laws. The mother has to work with her lawyer to reframe the situation based on her experience but IRB will have the old copy explaining that the risk is primarily for the son.

Because it’s already been explained . They thought when they claimed for asylum it was going to be a two for one application.
It’s not . In a nut shell ,moms on her own and has to PROVE her own case .
This cultural thing of “ I gotta tag along & live with my son when I have daughters in my home country, is a tad ridiculous.

Son is PA and mother was accompanying member. You cant just change BOC in a middle of the way and say i also face persecution/danger and i cant go back after PA withdrew his claim. you dont have to make it look easy, poster need to consult a lawyer

We are not trying to be dismissive but based on your original post, you wrote " ALL evidence was against son". provided mum does not have evidence, its kinda tough. but at the en it is up to member to decide her case...
