French courses for working holday visa holder?

Hey Folks,

It seems the government in QC is pretty strict about only giving immigrants, refugees, and csq holders access to french language courses. Many, if not all of the ones I have found require proof of one of these statuses.

Does anyone know of any courses in the Montreal or Laval area that are available to somebody in my position; someone with a temporary work permit "working holiday" visa? I'm getting by okay with the french I learned growing up and from traveling in France but I would like to live here permanently one day and I would love to expedite my integration while here on this visa.

Why don’t you just pay for one ? Or you’re looking for the province to subsidize it for you ?
They are strict because those courses restricted to immigrants, refugees etc are funded by public money aka tax payer funded
