I have seen many forums and listings advertising free French courses through the IMID of Quebec for immigrants. However, the eligibility requirements state that temporary workers WITH a CSQ are eligible.
I unfortunately do not have a CSQ (and based on my contract, may or may not decide to apply for PR in the future). I am on a temporary work visa for 2 years (Code 20).
My question is: Can I still apply (am I still eligible) for these courses. It would seem that IMID would want even temporary visitors to be able to function in a French speaking environment. I could be wrong, though. Does anyone have experience with this or any advice?
