You must have stuff you can send from between September and now that shows you have an ongoing relationship. For example, emails and/or texts where you discuss your future plans and your move up here, regular (i.e. daily) conversations back and forth, etc.

I'm also nervous about this. Honestly, lol, I don't have convo evidence from 2013 or 2014. My partner and I both lost everything. A few times our phones wiped out for no reason. Other times we'd lose our convos when updating an app or changing phones, and we both changed phones a few times over our time together (been together from Sept 2012 to now). It seems unlikely or implausible that this would happen to both of us, I know. I'm worried that CIC would be suspicious, even though it's the 100% truth. Sucks. All I can do is write a little letter explaining why we're missing convos for two whole years.

I think we over analyze it sometimes (did that too) and it'll drive you crazy. :D The best you can do is explain it like you have here rather than leave them to infer otherwise.
If you still have those phones or want to extract 'lost' msgs from your current phone, search online, "how to extract msgs from 'name of phone' ". Someone always knows which software to use. I switched phones and this is how I extracted 'lost' msgs which we included in our application.

I honestly don't think they analyse the private conversation as much as you'd think. I sent a hundred or so pages of private chat and according to the notes, they shredded a big chunk of it due to "excess chat logs." I'd focus more on evidence like joint mortgage/lease, bank accounts, and other evidence showing you live at the same address. As for evidence of a genuine relationship, you can submit photos, letters, greeting cards, affidavits from family, friends, and associates, fb posts, etc. And yes, go ahead and write a letter. Do you have any other evidence of contact like snail mail letters or cards? You must have something somewhere.

Totally agree.
