Hello,

I have an OWP (got it as a spouse sponsored to the country, my application for permanent residency is still in progress). I'm now employed in Canada. Because of my OWP, I also got a TRV in my passport, both are therefore expiring on September 30th, 2017. I am now applying to extend my work permit.

My concern is that if I leave Canada for one week soon and come back just before the end of September, is there a chance an officer will refuse to let me back into the country? Since my OWP and my TRV are expiring so soon and I don't have a new OWP yet, can he do anything like that?

Thank you dearly.

You should be fine provided you return before the end of September.
