Mera khyal hai ki PP wich surname di koi lor nahi hai. Surname di lor taan hi pendi hai jad ki kisey da naam ik hi hovey.

If Ramesh Kumar or Arjun Singh, then I think there is no need to add surname in PP. PP should do without family surname. If you have come across any such rule plz tell me also.

bhaji, ik india nu chad ke baki har thaan te sirname is very important.i lived abroad for approx.11 yrs.i would not be able to give sirname to my daughter,if i had not added it to my new pp.[as she has citizenship of other country by birth ],otherwise mothers sirname had been added to her.its only in india where people are illitrate,not well groomed,and does not give imp. to such small issues & afterwords lead them into trouble.........

Your suggestions are welcome, but mind your language (illiterate people in India). This is a public forum and you should refrain from using such abusive language against any forum member. Nobody can become a scholer by just adding its surname on Passport only. You have no right to use such abusive language in this forum against Indians or anybody else.
