flying inside canada - while waiting for visa extension

Hi - thanks in advance for advice
I would like to know if my husband (who has a Canadian drivers license) would have any issues flying inside of Canada. We are waiting for an extension on his visa and have paid the fees for sponsorship and PR application. His current visa extension has expired (we are waiting for the extension in the mail) I've looked at the id requirements for flying inside Canada and a drivers license is enough. Just don't want to cause any issues for us before booking flights -

The DL is fine for in-Canada flights.
