Flight ticket with transit in Frankfurt

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding transit in Frankfurt airport. A friend of mine has a PR and will get a 1 way ticket to Ottawa with 1 transit stop in Frankfurt. My question is, will he need a transit visa for Frankfurt?

Have flown to US and Canada via Lufthansa with a layover in Frankfurt. Transit visa is not required if you have a valid visa for US or Canada.

I am traveling from India (with an Indian passport) and I have my Canadian PR card. I have a stop-over in Frankfurt. Would I need a transit visa ?
