bangalore to toronto via frankfurt for landing- transit visa required??

hi friends
my family and i will be flying to toronto for our landing in april. the flight is from bangalore to toronto with transit at frankfurt.
do we need a transit visa at frankfurt.
some of the older posts on this topic on forum says if we have PR we need not have transit visa, but right now we only have confirmation of PR (COPR) and not our PR card, so will that be sufficient, one of the post says we don’t need to have transit visa if we have valid Canada visa is that true? if we need to get transit visa do we have to get before our travel?
please guide regarding this issue

I doubt if you need a visa, but you can also look at going on Etihad/Emirates/Qatar/Turkish etc to avoid Frankfurt(Europe).

Your travel agent can advise you on this, check with them

For Indian passport holders, if you are travelling via Europe to North America, you don't need a transit visa.

A Canadian immigration visa, just like a PR card, will serve instead of a transit visa if traveling through one airport in the European Union, provided you don't need to exit the transit zone to get to your terminal/gate.
Check the transit route for your connecting flight at the Frankfurt airport. However, as far as I know, all international connecting flights in Frankfurt can be boarded without stepping out of the transit zone.

No visa required for via Frankfurt. Visa is required only if you come via USA.
