First PR renewal 730 days calculation

Hi,

My question is does being in Canada under student visa or work permit (temporary resident) count towards the 730 days requirement when I renew my PR card for the FIRST time(since I can renew 9 months in advance)? If it does, do I apply the same calculation rule for citizenship (1 day only counts as 0.5 day)?


In other words, does the 730 days requirement to maintain PR status only starts counting after my PR card issue date?
