Fingerprint request on citizenship test day!!(cic- calgary)

i passed my test on 13th may 2015, but i was asked to provide digital finger print just before the test. Does anybody have same situation? Does this mean my application is non-routine? Below is my timeline

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 3, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on November 15, 2014.
3. We started processing your application on December 4, 2014.
4. We sent you a notice on April 21, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 13, 2015 at 8:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5.We sent you a letter on April 21, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
6.We sent you correspondence on May 8, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

They sent you a letter and a correspondence before your test. What were those for?

Ok so the request for FP was made before the interview but it was communicated to you at the interview and therefore it is not a result of the interview.

Hello sanny I passed my test on 18 June but officer gave me finger print request (letter was typed and dated 10 June)

Sanny27 A fingerprint request may simply be the result of someone with a similar name being in the system or known to CIC . If that is the case whilst your application might technically be considered non routine it might only add a short time to your application time.

Mainland Southeast Asia, also known as Indochina, comprising Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Vietnam, and West Malaysia.

Well, some countries of this list could explain the precautions.

@neutral and @fprince i am from NEpal. i dont think cic have any issues with Nepal. In fact they are now helping earthquake victims for processing their application fast .

I had my test last month and today I called CIC they said they sent me a letter requesting fingerprints.

Any updates on your case ?
