Filling the Gap strategy

For a while I've been struggling and really fighting to understand the this types of question, especially while filling gap is located at the very first of sentence like this:
Question is :
[5]...................or sell kitchen things.

I recognize this fact that in the most case (maybe 75%) it's said the second parts of sentence then comes to the first part

Person 1 : I would advertise the fridge , the microwave, the furniture , but the kitchen stuff isn't really good because[..I can't understand this part honestly]
what should I do with them ?

Person 2 : another option is to donate kitchen things
I underline the answer key and highlight with red color the second part's keyword for finding the right answer .

But still the reliable way to be sure 100% is correct anticipation about answer !!!

One thing that really wonder me is something question playing with your IQ
suppose this :

Question :
[8] ...........................Fridge and Microwave to Andrea .

the problem here is, Andrea is says that : Hum,actually, I'm interested in buying your fridge and microwave
but the correct answer is sell

Because someone else wants to sell those stuff to Andrea , but Andrea here act as a sole speaker (only speaker) but you should write from whom was asked
