I am in a weird situation here MP office informed that today that NYC sent a document request on DEC 05, its funny that
I never received any and NYC also informed they are making final decision on 30 th Jan.
I received an email today from NY stating that they sent a letter requesting my IELTS score, the one I have in file is expired and they have extended the date to submit the result till 15 March. I scored 7 band overall last time.
Does anyone in the forum have any idea what band I would need to score, never expected this.
Sorry for my late reply.. I was too busy with work and other stuff so could not get time to check this site..
I am not sure whether you have already received the address or have done your medical; but in case you are still looking for one DMP in Toronto who will do in advance medical, you can contact:
Etobicoke John C Kuhlmann 666 Burnhamthorpe Rd,
Suite 202,
Ontario,
M9C 2Z4
thanks for taking time and replying. I did my medicals already was a smooth one except when he asked me to take my cloths..... you know what I mean come on. lol
my ecas status reflects that processing has started on Feb 2nd 2012. The case was transferred to NY on Nov 8th 2011. I had done my advanced medicals in Aug, 2011 and today I sent an email to CIC informing them of the same. They acknowledged the message but asked me to connect via the lawyer (whom i had hired initially) instead of communicating with them directly.
Any idea on when can i expect next communication ? will it be PPR ?
My timelines are -
1st AOR - May 20 2010
2nd AOR - Oct 7 2010
Transferred to NY - Nov 8 2011
Started processing - Feb 2 2012
Thanks and good luck to all fellow members !

NYVO is working at superfast speed. On receipt of PPR yesterday, I sent them a mail seeking permission to appear "In Person" to get my visa and have responded within 24 hours. Following is the reply:
Dear Sir, Madam,
Our office can process your immigrant visa and passports on the same day according to the following schedule:
Passports must be submitted for processing Monday through Friday (except Wednesdays and Holidays) between 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. and picked up the same day in the afternoon between 1:00 and 2:30 p.m.
You MUST confirm the date you intend to present yourself at our office so we may issue to you a letter allowing you to access the waiting room.
In the email that I received for my PPR, it was stated that it will take 30 days (more or less) before we can get the passport back from the date they received it.
NY office received my passport on Feb 6 (according to canada post tracking #) so I might get it back before end of this month or 1st week of March the most... I haven't send any return envelope so I would expect it thru regular mail.
I know it sucks to wait more specially we've if been waiting forever to reach this stage but at least now we are just one step behind the tunnel so just add up few more days of patience and the party will begin!!!
Hope we'll get our passport soon! :-*

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if any of you had this experience before:
My Passport was received by NYVO on Jan 25, I asked them for an update on Feb 2. And they responded yesterday (after a week) that:
"Dear Sir
Be advised that your passport and immigrant visas will be mailed to you shortly. .
Thank you for your interest in Canada."
Does anybody know how long the word "shortly" means here?
I already sent them a prepaid envelop but there is no activity when tracking it.
