just in case some one needs it .. right in the heart of manhattan
are you in India right now??? Are you gonna come back to usa or you will transfer your file to New Delhi.
Please let me know, as i am also planning to come back india.
You seem to have applied for buffalo. Did you inform buffalo VO when you moved to India? Did you request them to change your VO as you are moving to India?
As per CIC - OP 6, file is not transferred from one VO to another due to applicants relocation. File is only transferred if it helps in CIC program integrity. I returned from Canada in June 2010 after spending two years there. I notified Buffalo of my Indian (correspondence) address on my return. My file got transferred from Buffalo to NY VO on 13 October 2011.

No clues when NY would issue MR. Hope they do it soon (within 3 months of file tranfer date). I am planning to go for adavnce medicals in the next two weeks.
Cheers..

As I am not aware of NY VO time line, just wanted to ask a question:
How long will it take to get MR from NY VO after file transfer ??

Do you think I should do the same?? And according to cic website it is not advisable to do the advance medical before getting actual mr request. Could you please through some light on that please.
I agree with your comment regarding CIC website and the risk involved. But having read many success stories (advance medical related), I have decided to take this risk. It costs approx C$ 70 in New Delhi and I am willing to risk it if has potential to help my case.
Cheers..
