federal Timelines share for QSW sydney applicants - file CPP-Ottawa

I filed my Federal in Feb 2012.
Med requests in April 2012.
Submitted meds in May 2012.
Waiting waiting waiting.

Sent CIC email last week to inquire on status and they said it was in process (even though ECAS shows Application Received only) and that the processing time is now 16 months.

I guess I will continue waiting. I'm concerned that I'll have to redo my meds if the avg processing time is now 16 months. That was very expensive for my family of 4.

1) My application has to be submitted to Sydney, NS, correct (I live in Northeast USA)?
2) Question 4 in general application asks: "Immigration office requested for processing this application". Should the answer be "Ottawa" (from the interactive map there are 3 answers- Ottawa, DC, St Pierre et Miquelon)

Please help.

1) send your application to the address as directed. Yes, it is Sydney, Nova Scotia (province), Canada.
2) you can select Ottawa. Once they receive your application, they will make a final decision on where exactly it will be processed. It'll likely be the Ottawa pilot processing center.

I dont think so. I guess I will have to wait atleast 2 more months. have asked for second GCMS. Lets see.
