Hi Everyone,
I've a few questions which hopefully someone can help me with! I have 70 points in the skills test thing and both myself and my common law partner have employment.
1) When you apply for a federal skilled worker program, do you go into implied status (current work visa expires December 26th 2009)
2) I am presently applying for a work permit extension - once my visa expires on December 26th, I will go into implied status. If I am into implied status, I will be here longer than a year working. Therefore, will I be eligible for category 3 if my one year living in Canada is inclusive of implied status?
Thanks!

1. No.
2. Only if you have a new LMO and have APPLIED to Vegreville for a Work Permit extension.

Thanks PMM, your help is always greatly appreciated.
I'm not entirely sure on your answer to my 2nd question - say I apply to Vergreville and the HRSDC have yet to rule on my LMO application by December 26th, thus keeping me here just over a year when including my implied status, then would I qualify?
Thanks mate!

Yes, if the work permit comes back as approved, but no if it is refused by Vegreville.
