I would like to share my happiness
this morning at 7 am my phone woke me up with the golden mail. Finally I received desired PER.

I just spoke to my consultant about my application progress. She told me that she is trying to send docs asked by CIO ASAP like copy of my latest passport, DD n docs of other applicants. I am praying to God that my application will be considered in current system as I am not optimistic about EE. They will also reapply for my assessment letter from Alberta Apprenticeship Body as my current letter is expired in month of October. I hope all this work will be done before 15 Dec, so they will consider my application in current system. I am not keen about EE as my IELTS validity is over in March 2015, so I am sure if my application will be in EE then they will surely ask me to attempt IELTS again.
no update so far.
In my opinion we get some updates after new year. We might get the medicals at the end of January if we are lucky.
For me it does not really matter because with the PER we can extend the work permit till we get the final decision

I'm sure we don't get any updates until next year... I wonder when it will be...
Unfortunately, for us, we can't get WP from this PER because our WP is already expired, we are struggling to get LMIA too...(I have the other topic about this)
Our VO will be Ottawa, but if we can't get WP soon, we need to leave and wait outside of Canada...

anyway, I really suggest you to take the Red Seal in Calgary once you get your evaluation.
Then you do not need to be worried about EE.
You mentioned you had some job offer.Once you have your CoQ then the job offer supporting PR app through FSTP will not require the LMIA,
Therefore EE would be a bit easier for you and in my opinion you should receive the invitation to apply...

Even our restoration period is over! And still no LMIA!!! I really want to know what SC working on ???
We already applied for restoration to visitor and waiting for result AND LMIA. Hope this way works for us.
@NP- Now I am trying to apply through EE. Even I am checking my options with CoQ as I don't wanna rely on LMIA. Even I don't think they gonna do anything in this month.
@Minimee - Sorry to hear abt ur LMIA. I guess Canadian immigration is short of staff. and they are receiving lots of applications. I hope they will do better with EE and they are clear abt EE procedure. It's very confusing n irritating to wait for results from outside Canada. I wish you all luck. May you get your LMIA soon and you won't have to leave Canada.
I know your feeling, but trust me you better sort your visa before come to Canada is the best and secured way.
We waited long time to just get work permit outside Canada before we got here.
And you knwo what? That time was better than now. We have job, place to live, friends, healthcare, everything. And if Canada didn't work out, we just needed to keep going the life we had.
Now, we are here without status and job, our life is so down. Siriously, so down.
So, my advice to you is, get the PR before you come to Canada. Then you don't need to worry about visa and you don't have this hassle any more.
